Small Farm School Celebrates 13 Years
of Farmer Education and Collaboration

Small Farm School marked 13 years of fostering education and collaboration among farmers and farm support organizations. The event has grown over the years, reaching a record attendance of over 300 participants in 2024. Attendees came to Oregon City for a day of learning and networking, with 30 classroom sessions and hands-on workshops.

Led by the OSU Small Farms Program and held at Clackamas Community College, the event offered classroom and hands-on learning opportunities. Workshop topics included beginning farmer training, soil health, water conservation, and small-scale farm equipment.

Additional sessions covered farm business planning, cut flower production, pest and disease management, grazing strategies, irrigation scheduling, and soil sampling.

Participants also explored exhibitor booths featuring resources from the farming community. Over 70 discounted registrations were provided, ensuring greater accessibility for all farmers and aspiring farmers.
